My interest in tabletop gaming and desire to bring my digital creations into the physical world has driven me to create models specifically designed to be 3D printed. I’ve worked with a variety of both FDM and SLA printers. The majority of the models I’ve designed are intended for use in tabletop gaming. I’ve also done design work for several Kickstarter campaigns and private comissions.
Here are some of the models I have designed for 3D print. A larger collection of my work is also available to view on my ArtStation Page; follow me there to see when I complete new projects!

Many of the models shown here are available in the Top Doug Design Store on MiniHoarder!

Beer Can Mimic

I sculpted this life sized Beer Can Mimic model for Dragon's Lair Comics & Fantasy Houston's “Iron Painter III - April Fools Edition” painting competition. In this competition 30+ painters showed up to Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy not knowing what they were going to paint and had just 8 hours to finish painting this life sized Mimic model! During the painting competition we also played a little prank on the painters and first unveiled an incredibly tiny dino instead of this model because the competition occurred on April Fools Day.

Shipwrecks

I designed these 3D printable shipwrecks for the GameScape3D Sea Stack Cove: The Lighthouse Kickstarter.

The shipwrecks feature fully playable interiors; the prints shown here were printed in resin and hand painted.

Steampunk Observatory

This 3D printable Steampunk Observatory has working clocks and is perfect for your next Steampunk themed game—the clocks can be tiled for a larger tower! This terrain is compatible with the OpenLOCK terrain system.
Test prints shown here were printed in PLA using an Ender 3 Pro.

Santa Dragon

I sculpted this Dragon Bust for Dragon's Lair Comics & Fantasy Houston's “Iron Painter Holiday Edition 2023: The Re-Gifting” painting competition. In this competition 30+ painters showed up to the store not knowing what they would be painting and then had 8 hours to paint this miniature from the time we unveiled it.

Heavy Metal Santa

I sculpted this 75mm scale Heavy Metal Santa miniature for Dragon's Lair Comics & Fantasy Houston's “Iron Painter Holiday Edition 2022” painting competition. In this competition 30+ painters showed up to the store not knowing what they would be painting and then had 8 hours to paint this miniature from the time we unveiled it.

Worlds Over Run: Beasts of Burden Kickstarter

Presented below are some of the 3D printable miniatures I created for the Worlds Over Run: Beasts of Burden Kickstarter. Each dinosaur has multiple poses and different gear options. The Land Train was offered as Stretch Goals during the campaign.

Worlds Over Run: Great Wall

3D printable defensive wall for tabletop gaming, inspired by and in the scale of the Great Wall of China.
These walls and buildings are compatible with the OpenLOCK terrain system.

Worlds Over Run: Great Wall buildings

3D printable buildings for the Worlds Over Run Great Wall system. One cool new feature I was excited to add to this set is the light up Beacon Crystal which glows with the simple addition of an LED tealight. The buildings are compatible with the OpenLOCK terrain system.

Test prints shown here were printed in PLA using an Ender 3 Pro.

Cobblestone Bases

A set of bases for use in tabletop gaming in 30mm, 40mm, and 50mm sizes.
Test prints here were printed on an Anycubic Photon printer using Siraya Tech Fast Grey resin.

Runic Ice Pillar

Ice pillar terraing marker designed to be used with the Malifaux tabletop game.
Prints show here were printed on an Ender 3 Pro using TTYT3D Silk Shine PLA filament.

Rock Never Dies Bust

I created this piece as part of Wyrd Games' Iron Painter 2018 painting competition. In this competition participants are given a theme and then have 2 weeks to build and paint their entry. Each participant is paired off with another participant for judging; the winner advances to the next round, the loser is dropped to the next lower bracket or eliminated entirely from the competition if they are already in the lowest bracket. This piece was created for the second round of the competition. The theme this round was “KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid” and participants were limited to a single miniature which fit on an unadorned 30mm base. I was a Silver Tier finalist in this competition.

Las Vegas Open 2020 Medals

I created medals for the various Malifaux events taking place at Las Vegas Open 2020 and 3D printed them in transparent resin using my Anycubic Photon. The printed medals were finished with a gloss varnish. This is a sample of the medals from the event.
